One of the two men accused of the brutal murder of Free State farm manager Brendin Horner has been granted bail in the Senekal Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The 44-year-old Sekola Matlaletsa was granted bail of R5 000.
Accused number one, the 32-year-old Sekwetje Mahlamba, was denied bail.
On Monday, the investigating officer in the case revealed to the court that there was no DNA evidence at this stage to link the suspects to the murder.
Magistrate Deon van Rooyen said during Judgment that even though there was no direct evidence linking accused number one to the crime, there was a prima facie case against Mahlamba and that his girlfriend is a key witness in the case.
Both the accused are pleading not guilty.
The matter was postponed, to the 1st of December.
