5 killed, 8 injured in Nelspruit accident

Five people have been killed, and eight injured, in an accident between a minibus taxi and a car in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

Netcare 911's Jeffrey Wicks says five people were declared dead at the scene on Friday.

He says the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.

Wicks says the driver of an Opel Corsa lost control of the car, which spun around and swerved into the oncoming traffic. The taxi hit it from the side.
