Transport Minister Dipuo Peters has expressed shock and sadness at the death of 15 people in an accident in Mpumalanga.
The provincial community safety department says the accident happened on the R555 between Witbank and Ogies on Friday, when a minibus taxi and a truck collided head-on.
Department spokesperson, Mmusi Moeti says among those killed were four children.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Two people were taken to hospital in Witbank in a critical condition.
Peters said the Road Traffic Management Corporation had sent a team of investigation experts to determine the cause of the crash.
