CHOC is a non-profit organisation made up of caring, committed and passionate people who stand up for and support the well-being of children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer or life threatening blood disorders and their families.
CHOC aims to save lives through early detection and making the journey of those who are affected by childhood cancer, less burdensome through the comprehensive support programmes we offer.

The Virtual Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer is fast approaching, and this year it's all in aid of children with cancer. Dr Johani Vemeulen, the head Paediatric Oncologist at the Provincial Hospital, joined Charl to talk about cancer in children and the essential work that CHOC, the Big Walk beneficiary, does in support of many of their young patients and their families.
The Algoa FM Virtual Big Walk For Cancer is the biggest charity participation event in the Eastern Cape. As this year’s beneficiary is CHOC, Kaycee was joined by Hedley Lewis, their Chief Executive Officer, for a special edition of Algoa Cares.
