Dr Marietjie van der Merwe is a qualified Social Worker and obtained her PHD in Social Work in 2006.
Marietjie is the Head of ACVV Khayalethu Youth Centre/Oliver House, a home for the reformation and reintegration of former street children in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Marietjie was chosen as the Pick & Pay, Algoa FM Woman of Distinction in 2007/2008, where she was honoured for the work she does and a finalist in the Business Woman’s Association the following year.
