South African wool prices moved sideways amid market uncertainty during this week's national sale.
Spokesperson Ona Viljoen says Cape Wools' Merino indicator closed at R99.11p/kg for clean wool which was down 0.3% compared with the previous sale a fortnight ago.
This is nevertheless still 18% higher than at the same sale last season.
A high sales percentage was achieved when 98% of the 10,580 bales on offer was sold.
Next week's national sale will see a smaller offering of about 5,500 bales.
