New vehicle sales recorded another solid performance with double digit growth reported in June.
The National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa says aggregate domestic sales for the month improved year on year by 15.6%.
Naamsa says total domestic sales for the first half of 2012 remained 10.5% ahead of the corresponding six months last year.
Exports sales in June at 27,061 vehicles .. had registered modest growth rising by 1767 units or seven percent.
New passenger car sales, assisted by new model introductions, improved by 14.3% year on year.
Naamsa says new vehicle sales continue to perform well despite indications of further slowing in the domestic economy.
