The Automobile Association says the latest drop in the price of petrol and diesel is likely to be short-lived.
Spokesperson Gary Ronald says this year South African motorists can expect the fuel price to peak at about R13.50 to R14.00 per litre, with an outside chance of even reaching R15 - depending on politics and the US economy.
According to economists, the rand and global oil prices are two volatile factors that will continue to influence fuel prices.
