Johannesburg, Dec 21 (I-Net Bridge) - Foreigners were net sellers of R640.254 million of South African bonds including repo transactions on Tuesday after net sales of R71.436 million of local bonds on Monday, data released by the JSE shows.
Nominal cumulative volume was R56.813 billion on Tuesday from R43.503 billion on Monday.
Foreigners were net sellers of R644.259 million of South African bonds excluding repo transactions on Tuesday after net sales of R66.419 million of local bonds on Monday.
For the year to date, foreigners have been net buyers of R46.117 billion worth of local bonds, excluding repo transactions.
In 2010 foreigners bought net R57.064 billion rand worth of local bonds, excluding repo transactions.
For the year to date for total transactions, including repo transactions, foreigners have been net buyers of R36.250 billion of local bonds. In 2010 they bought net R44.541 billion worth of bonds.
