First National Bank (FNB) was extremely concerned that it was still experiencing problems after a power shutdown, it said on Thursday morning.
Clients were unable to do any banking after its back-up power systems failed to kick in.
FNB’s Raj Makanjee said it was experiencing more problems with their generators.
"We moved to our back-up systems that allowed our customers to transact on ATMs and cards.
"We have come back up on our production systems and customers should be able to start to transact this morning."
