Consumer Price Inflation in rose slightly in August.
Statistics South Africa says the headline inflation rate for all urban areas in August was 5%.
It says this rate was 0.1 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of 4.9% in July.
On the month, CPI rose by 0.2%.
FNB economist, John Loos, says while still very much "under control", the small increase in CPI may be a sign of things to come in the near term.
