Yesterday was a huge day for me. As fundraiser for the Aurora Special Care Centre, we had our annual fete. This usually takes about 2 months of planning, and absolutely every single thing that we have at our fete is donated. From the flour used in the baking, to the jelly tots used at our sweet stall – everything.
We had beautiful plants, white elephant, hamburgers, boerie rolls, bacon and egg rolls, pancakes, curries, games, toys, books, tea room, 2nd hand clothing and much more.
The kids had face-painting, a jumping castle, colouring in comp and MR Pritt came for a visit. We were all treated to the most amazing entertainment.
The Pipe Band were fabulous, we had an excerpt from the Pirates of Penzance – the new show from Gilbert and Sullivan, Zumba (the kids LOVED the dancing), Self-defence and wrapping it up – the new Apostolic Church sang for us.
A huge thank you to EVERYONE involved, without you it wouldn’t be possible to look after our incredible children!
