It's been a while since I last wrote, as things are just so busy. I have been working at the Aurora Special care Centre. I did my first major fund raiser for them last weekend, which was their annual tin collection.
We were R10 000 up from the previous year - which was just fantastic. So a very good start for me :)
The kids are growing like weeds. Gabiel is now 5 months old, and is rolling over - he gets this very chuffed look on his face when he rolls right over! He also grabs at everything, and really likes my hair... but when he gets a grip - he doesn't let go, and it really hurts!
Hayden has hit the terrible twos hard... the sweetest little thing one minute, and then a little rotter the next. Whenever I take the kids clothes off for their nightly bath, I always tickle them and say "look at this beautiful body" . So Friday morning I was having a shower before work, and as I was about to get in the shower, Hayden comes into the bathroom, tickles my leg and says "look at this boozeel body".... well I had tears running down my face, I was laughing so hard!
You can see how big Gabriel is getting, and this is Hayden's latest school picture.
Anyway, moving on to today's show:
We were chatting about some interesting Pixar movie trivia - well here is is:
The incredibles:
In order to give Dash a realistic out-of-breath voice in The Incredibles, director Brad Bird made actor Spencer Fox run laps around the studio.
Bill Murray was actively considered for the role of Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear…but lost the producer’s phone numbers leaving the coast clear for Tim Allen.
All the studio’s movies include a character who is voiced by John Ratzenburger as he is regarded as “Pixar’s good luck charm.”
“Toy Story” (1995), “Toy Story 2” (1999), “Toy Story 3”(2010) - Hamm the Piggy Bank
“A Bug’s Life” (1998) - P.T. Flea, the circus ring leader
“Monsters, Inc.” (2001) - The Abominable Snowman
“Finding Nemo” (2003) - The School of Moonfish
“The Incredibles” (2004) - The Underminer
“Cars” (2006), “Cars 2” (2011) - Mack the Truck
“Ratatouille” (2007) - Mustafa the Head Waiter
“WALL-E” (2008) - John
“Up” (2009) - Tom, the construction worker
“Brave” (2012) - A Scottish guard
Finding Nemo, which followed the misfortunes of Marvin the Clownfish voiced by Albert Brooks, is the bestselling DVD of all time, shifting more than forty million copies.
Ratatouille director Brad Bird took a motorcycle tour of Paris and ate at five top-rated restaurants to get a feel of the city for the movie.
For the original Toy Story, Tom Hanks recorded his dialog during the breaks of Sleepless in Seattle (1993) and A League of Their Own (1992). He didn't want to record his dialog during the breaks of Philadelphia (1993) or Forrest Gump (1994) because he felt he shouldn't do comedic roles in between minutes of playing serious roles
Barbie's blue workout outfit from Toy Story 3 is based on the 1984 “Great Shape” Barbie Doll. The Ken doll in the movie is modeled after “Animal Lovin” Ken from 1988.
Quite hilarious!
Have a super week!
