Last night was the big event! Mrs Madiba Bay! I have been chatting about it on my blog for a few months now, and I was so nervous to compete. It was very intimidating to walk the ramp, and I have a new respect for models!
My goal was to raise the most amount of money for charity and get the philanthropist award, which I got... but to my surprise I won the title of Mrs Madiba Bay.
The event was loads of fun, and all the women did brilliantly.
I raised R8500 for charity, and half was donated to the AWS and the other half to the Super D foundation (assisting families with children with disabilities)
It's been a big week, I have also started working at Aurora doing their fund raising. I couldn't be more happier, doing my 2 favorite things in the world! Radio on the weekends, and fund raising in the week. The children love coming to Aurora, and seem to have adjusted happily to the changes.
