"A massive ‘communal’ spiderweb in a suburb of Dallas, TX, is drawing tourists from nearby areas. Located in Lakeside Park South in the city of Rowlett, the web spans hundreds of feet and is home to thousands of spiders, though no one is exactly sure how many arachnids live in the web.
A local university publication reports that a similar communal web appeared in the city a few years ago, created by Tetragnatha guatemalensis, a species not known to be dangerous. The spiders in Lakeside Park South are likely the same species."
