I feel as if I have so much to share with you, with the week that has just passed.
We spent a couple of nights in East London visiting a very good friend of ours, and her lovely family. We always enjoy our time in East london with her and her family got to meet Gabriel for the first time.
The rain pretty much started the day after we got back, and I was determined to buy Hayden a pair of rain boots, as he absolutely LOVES jumping in "muddy puddles" as he calls it.
Boy did my mom and I mission to find a pair of size 8 boots, but we eventually did. The smile that spread across his face when he realized he was getting red "Fireman" boots was one that I will remember till the day I die. The fun that has been had over the past few days with those rain boots has been incredible!
On Saturday we went down to the Museum and Snake Park. We were really impressed with the realistic dinosaurs outside. The roared and moved! Hayden was quite scared in the beginning, but Mark showed him that they were not real and wouldn't mind... not quite like Rex from Toy Story.
Hayden LOVED the snakes and alligator and the interesting pieces in the museum. He got close up to a seal, and enjoyed the fish tanks. It was so sad that there was hardly anything there though as I have such wonderful memories of the shark tank, and going underground so it felt like you were in the water. Even the section in the museum that tells the history of PE is being renovated, but it's been like that for many, many months!
Still on track with my fund raising for Mrs Madiba, will let you know soon how much money I have managed to raise. I also have quite a lot of clothing and books for charity, people have been generous :)
I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well after these heavy rains that we have had.
