Port Elizabeth police detectives are investigating a case of murder, after a 21-year old man was shot and killed in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson, Col Pricilla Naidu says Renaldo Cherry was sitting in a street in Gelvendale with friends when they were approached by about four unknown men.
She says one of them produced a firearm and fired a shot at the victim.
Naidu says Cherry ran away, but collapsed after a short distance and died at the scene.
