Port Elizabeth police have arrested three suspects and recovered a vehicle and jewellery allegedly stolen during a house robbery in Kabega Park on Friday.
Spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu says PE Flying Squad and K9 members reacted to information received and spotted a stolen silver Hyundai Getz in Western Road and pulled it over.
She says the 25-year-old driver alleged that he purchased the vehicle from someone in Malabar.
He was also found in possession of a mandrax tablet.
Naidu says he was wearing a variety of jewellery, while his female companion aged 27 was also wearing a lot of jewellery and in possession of tik and a mandrax tablet.
She says more jewellery and a toy gun were found in the glove compartment of the vehicle.
The cellphone in the man's possession is suspected to be stolen.
Both were arrested on the spot, while a third suspect, aged 27, was arrested at a guesthouse in Central, where more jewellery and other suspected stolen property were found in a bag.
He was in possession of 30 tik packets and 8 mandrax tablets.
All three suspects will appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrate's court on Monday.
