Uitenhage police are on the hunt for those involved in two separate shooting incidents in the area in the past 48 hours.
Uitenhage police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, says in one incident 28-year-old Dwyane Vogel was fatally wounded while sitting in his car in Hen Street in Rosedale - Kamesh.
He said according to witnesses, the occupants of a white Isuzu bakkie opened fire on Vogel's car as it drove past.
Nkohli said a second passenger in the car sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body while a third person escaped unharmed.
In a second incident in the early hours of Wednesday morning, a 22-year-old man had a lucky escape when unknown suspects fired several shots through his bedroom window in Pelican Street, also in Rosedale.
Nkohli said at this stage there is no link between the two incidents but police investigations are continuing.
