Police in Walmer, Port Elizabeth, are investigating a case of housebreaking and theft, after a break-in at the KTM Motorcycle dealership in William Moffet Drive.
Store owner Brenton von Waltsleben says the alarm was activated shortly before 3 am on Tuesday morning and when they got there the suspects had already fled.
They'd smashed the display window and stolen five bikes, three helmets, and a motorcycle jacket.
Von Waltsleben told Algoa FM News that he and his staff had found three of the motorbikes hidden in the grass in nearby Butterfield Crescent as well as the three helmets and the jacket.
Two of the bikes are still missing, they are a KTM 1290 R adventure bike and a KTM 350 free-ride bush-bike.
