The World's Youngest Black Person To Walk To The South Pole - Update 1

100 years ago, Roald Amundsen made history when he became the first man to reach the South Pole. Following in his footsteps, Nzuzo Mnikathi from Pietermaritzburg aims to become the youngest black person to ever walk to the South Pole. Part of The Unlimited Child South Pole Expedition, the 19-year-old said it will be an honour to claim this world record for South Africa and all its children. Mnikathi is using the Expedition, made possible by The Unlimited, to raise awareness for The Unlimited Child and the importance of early childhood development in South Africa. The expedition departs on 9 January 2012 and you can help Nzuzo reach his goal of 111km for 111 000 children on the website: www.theunlimitedchild.co.za.
