They have managed to avoid confirming their romance for months.

But after previously taking extreme pains to hide from the cameras, it appears Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have decided to go public.

The couple proudly held hands and kissed in New York City today, putting on a very public display of affection without a hint of worry about who might see them.

The couple, who initially became friends over a decade ago after starring on That '70s Show between 1998 and 2006, were first linked romantically back in April - shortly after the breakdown of Ashton's marriage to Demi Moore.

Mila had also just come out of an eight-year romance with Home Alone child star Macaulay Culkin.

The actress initially denied reports she had jumped into a relationship with Ashton, however.
