Los Angeles - Heidi Klum reportedly wants Seal to sign a "non-disclosure" contract.
The former couple split in January after seven-years of marriage, and the 38-year-old supermodel is apparently keen to make sure he keeps quiet about their time together.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "She has asked attorneys to build a lifetime clause into their agreement prohibiting either of them from talking about their marriage."
Seal opened up about their separation on The Ellen DeGeneres Show soon after the announcement, telling the host: "You just grow apart after a while. She is still, in my opinion, the most wonderful woman in the world. I think our priority was to remain civil and do this thing with dignity. We still very much love each other."
HEIDI AND SEAL IN HAPPIER TIMES
"To say that neither of us were grieving would be an out and out lie, and I don't mind telling you that. I think the operative here is that we are civil to each other and we both have a tremendous amount of respect and love and we try and do this with as much dignity as we possibly can."
And while Heidi has remained tight-lipped about the split, Seal believes the public deserved to be given some kind of reason.
He told Australian radio station 2Day FM: "While they don't really have the right to know details of our private life, I felt that those people at least had a right to some kind of explanation.
"When you publicise your marriage as much as our marriage was publicised, when you renew wedding vows, when you do all those things you are giving them a picture of an ideal relationship, of a relationship that people aspire towards, so when it goes south you can't all of a sudden take the philosophy of Celestine monk and decide to go for a vow of silence, it doesn't really work like that."
