Die Antwoord turn down Gaga?

Die Antwoord claim that they turned down an opportunity to tour with "sh*tty" Lady Gaga.

Frontman Ninja told MTV News Canada that they have experienced some "weird sh*t" during their rise to stardom.

He told the broadcaster: "Weird sh*t's been happening, like f**king Lady Gaga asked us to tour with her and we're like, 'No, don't worry about it".

Ninja revealed that Die Antwoord had been asked to tour with Gaga, but claimed the band were in "another dimension" to the Born This Way superstar.

He told MTV News Canada: "We like making pop music and hardcore music at the same time, mixing the two. But it's got soul in it, and then it's got a lot of layers. It's powerful. It's not like weak, superficial shit."

The zef rap project - who are fronted by of Yo-Landi Vi$$er and Ninja - released their second studio album Ten$ion on their independent label Zef Records earlier this year after splitting from Interscope Records – who also represent Gaga.

They told MTV that Interscope "were looking at Lady Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas and that type of sh*tty pop music, and were thinking we could like twist into that" – and that sparked their split
