Cybil Shepherd engaged at 62

Cybil Shepherd famously dated Elvis Presley in the early Seventies before dumping him for film director Peter Bogdanovich.

And now two marriages and three children later, the 62-year-old actress is headed for the alter once again.

The Taxi Driver star today announced her engagement to Andrei Nikolajevic, a former jeweller turned psychologist.

'I’m engaged,' the 62-year-old actress, who is starring in The Best Man on Broadway, told the New York Daily News.

'He was a jeweller. Now, he’s a psychologist. He’s Serbian.'

The NY Daily News also reported that Shepherd is sporting a gorgeous diamond ring on her left hand.

The actress said Nikolajevic popped the question in NYC a fortnight ago.

'It was very romantic and on one knee,' she says of her fiancé, whom she met through friends. 'I never thought I’d get married again.

Shepherd has been linked to a string of famous men over the more than four decades of her successful career, but the men she has chosen to marry have all been relatively ordinary and out of the limelight.

In 1978, she married local Memphiscar parts dealer David Ford, with whom she had one child (Clementine) before the marriage ended in 1982.

The Moonlighting actress's second marriage was to chiropractor Bruce Oppenheim, with whom she had twins Cyrus and Molly.

They were divorced in 1990 after just three years of marriage.
