Back to normal for Cliff: Vindicated star returns to his beloved Wimbledon for the first time since he was cleared of sex crimes after two-year ordeal

Thousands of people swarmed around what may be the most famous and revered tennis courts in the world today - but all eyes were on just one man, and it wasn't Andy Murray.

Long a fixture at the tournament and a huge tennis fan, pop veteran Sir Cliff Richard, 75, missed Wimbledon for the first time in two decades last year while fighting to clear his name.

Yesterday Sir Cliff, 75, wearing a silver suit, patterned cream shirt and pink, white and blue striped tie, looked pleased to be back in his usual seat in the members? area, next to the Royal Box, as he watched the defending champion Novak Djokovic play his first-round match against Briton James Ward.

Despite Djokovic winning in three straight sets, Sir Cliff got into the spirit of things and was seen standing, applauding and smiling.

Looking tanned, he also chatted with fellow spectators.
