Anchorman Sequel Finally Coming, says Ron Burgundy himself

 On Wednesday evening, Will Ferrell stopped by Conan in character as Ron Burgundy for an important announcement: Paramount Pictures will make a sequel to 2004′s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.



Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner will reportedly reprise their roles in the latest installment.

Ferrell played the flute and ribbed Conan (“Go to your doctor’s office and point to your face and say, ‘Doc, it’s a page one rewrite”) before sharing the big news. It’s no surprise he went to Conan for the exclusive. Ferrell was both the first and last guest on Conan’s short-lived Tonight Show, and his clipping of Conan’s beard is now legendary.
