A music video shot in Steytlerville?

INTRODUCING Faye Gatley’s LATEST  music video: Ndithanda Wena!

Ndithanda wena (I like you), the third single from the album The Way I Play by local singer/songwriter Faye Gatley, is an original South African love song containing the three languages with which she grew up with, namely English, Afrikaans and Xhosa.

Shot in the picturesque Eastern Cape town of Steytlerville, the music video was directed and filmed by Roelof Bezuidenhout and produced by Chris Fourie. Showing off the untouched beauty of the Karoo, Faye Gatley wanted her first music video to be an introduction of herself as a South African artist both nationally and internationally.

Behind the scenes Fun facts: The music video was shot over a scorching hot January weekend on the Steytlerville farm. In order to take the most advantage of natural lighting for the shoot, Faye had to be up every morning at 04:30am. To film this video, she also had to brave buzzing bees, leering legavaans and millions and millions of ants – Ants may have been harmed during the shooting of this video.
