Algoa Cares May 4th : Walmer Community Development Forum

This organization is dedicated to feeding the needy children in the Walmer township area of Port Elizabeth. They supply essential staple foodstuffs such as rice,soy,maize meal and fresh vegetables where possible. They currently contribute to the support of 22 creches in the area. In many cases , the food that they provide is the only substantial meal of the day for these children. In addition , they endeavor to aid the crèche leaders through leadership courses, book keeping courses and teacher assistance as part of their commitment to also empower the local community.Should you wish to make a donation in the form of goods/volunteer or make a financial contribution you will find all the necessary information below.

A list of their needs

• Food is always needed on an ongoing basis esoecially staple foodstuffs like  maize meal,soya etc and non perishables.
• Toys,blankets for the creches
• Cash donations to go towards the running costs of the organisation. No amount is too big or too small.
