Who we are:
Our main aim is to uplift the broken and homeless, uplift the community and rebuild body, soul and spirit through the Gospel. Most of the residents suffer from an addiction and although we are not a registered Rehab Centre, we take people in and help them get back onto their feet providing a healing program based on the Word of GOD.
We assist people that are totally destitute, former drug addicts, abused women and children, pensioners, people affected by the HIV/Aids as well as those that just have nowhere else to go, have been successfully assisted by the centre to return to the mainstream.
We also supply the children in our care with all their school needs. People who’ve gone through the program successfully are also subsidized with their rent if they do find work outside of Vistarus.
Our Projects;
Project 1:
Plastic extrusion plant:
We decided to get involved in recycling as a job creating project to help save our countries environment and to teach our people on the program some marketable skills. This project is our main source of income for the centre as we don’t get assistance or funding from government.
We recycle all plastics and polystyrene as well as all types of cardboard. We are exceptionally proud of our fully equipped plastic extrusion plant which allows us to resell our recycled plastic back into the market place
Project 2:
Woodwork:
We manufacture pallet wood furniture as well as dog kennels, which can be made to your required specifications. We also restore old furniture that we then sell in our charity shop.
Project 3:
We have a day care centre that is run by a few of the mothers on our program. Currently there are 13 toddlers and 9 babies. We would however like to have someone qualified to just spend an hour or two with the kids for them to be more educated by the time they reach Grade R. It would be ideal if we could get a full time teacher for these little ones.
