Victory Kids Early Intervention Centre for Children with Special Needs

Victory Kids Early Intervention Centre and Academy for Children with Special Social and Educational Needs

We are registered with the Department of Education as part of the LSPID Program (Learners with Severe to Profound Intellectual Development) and the Department of Social Development as an NPO.

Victory Kids was started in September 2005 by a mom who relocated from Cape Town to PE and saw a need for a center for learners with special needs children. The center started in her garage with her child, and then grew to 5 learners and today in 2024, there are 60 learners enrolled at Victory Kids. We are very excited as next year 2025, Victory Kids will be celebrating its 20th year of existence. I have been employed at Victory Kids from the very beginning in 2005 as a tutor, starting our first class in 2006 and owning the school from 2011. Victory Kids has a good reputation in the broader community as well as in the professional medical and therapy fields. We take pride in teaching, nurturing, loving, and developing our learners.

Our vision is to provide a caring, loving, fun, stimulating, and supportive environment for children with special social and educational needs through a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach. Preparing them for the future by leading independent, respectful, and productive lives in our community.

Our goal is to prepare young warriors to integrate into mainstream or special educational environments through individualized programs and support structures. Our aim is to enable them to attend a mainstream school or Governmental Special Needs School.

Our main project at the moment is the renovation of our new school. Victory Kids has been renting premises for the last 18 years and now we finally own our “forever home”.

We would appreciate any assistance we can get from companies, individuals and the broader community would be highly appreciated. We would appreciate assistance to ensure that our school is complete and secure for all our learners to ensure we provide them a fun, loving and learning environment. We can provide companies with Tax Section 18 Certificates for them to claim back their donation or sponsorship from SARS.

A list of our needs :

  1. A school bus/taxi to transport our learners from disadvantaged areas to and from school as well as taking our learners out on school excursions.
  2. Assistance with the renovations to our “forever home” – manpower, funding, and sponsorships for the materials to complete the project.
  3. Assistance in materials for inclosing of our swimming pool as our goal is to have swimming lessons and hydrotherapy as it would be very beneficial for all our learners.
  4. Paint to paint the outside of the building
  5. Assistance in the connection of our JoJo tank and water system.
  6. Assistance with artificial turf/grass to create a school turf so that we can offer a sports program as well as lay it down around our playground areas
  7. Assistance with electrical fencing to secure the property.
  8. Assistance in installing CCTV cameras

 Long Term Goals:

  1. Media Room – Computers and Educational Programs to teach our children basic computer skills
