Toy Run 2016 on Algoa Cares

Algoa Cares November 2nd  : Toy Run 2016

Hundreds of children are once again set to benefit from funds raised through the Port  Elizabeth Toy Run, an annual charity event supported by the biking community, taking place in November.

The main event of the PE Toy Run weekend is the bikers? mass ride and after party. The starting point is at Hunters Retreat Hotel, Kabega Park, departing at 10am en route through the city to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Annually the event seeks to reach as many as 5 000 children.

?The raising of funds to support the chosen charities would not be possible without the generous sponsors who contribute towards our raffle draw, the means through which we raise the majority of the funds that benefit the many children we reach out to,? said Tony Halket, Chairman of the organising committee.

?Equally important is the public who support our raffle ticket sales and the bikers who attend the annual Toy Run mass ride event and donate toys on the day,? said Halket.

Traditionally, the committee and supporting motorcycle clubs will also host a party for  about 350 underprivileged children from invited children?s homes and care centres.

Should you wish to assist in any way please contact Tony Halkett on 082 568 0682.

Their specific needs list is :

Donations of toys all ages/genders
