The Virtual Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer

The Algoa FM Big Walk For Cancer is a legacy event, now in its 23rd year, it remains the biggest charity participation event in the Eastern Cape. The event will once again take the form of a virtual walk in support of those affected by cancer.

As this year’s beneficiary is CHOC, Kaycee was joined by Hedley Lewis, CHOC Chief Executive Officer, for a special edition of Algoa Cares ahead of the virtual big walk.

CHOC is a non-profit organization made up of caring, committed, and passionate people who stand up for and support the well-being of children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer or life-threatening blood disorders and their families. CHOC aims to save lives through early detection and making the journey of those who are affected by childhood cancer, less burdensome through the comprehensive support programmes they offer.

There are just four weeks to go before the big walk so make sure you register as soon as possible! Anyone from anywhere in South Africa or the world can join in on the fun. Walk, run or stroll while observing social distancing with friends and family wherever you like on Saturday, 30 October.

Venue: Your own route, any location, your distance, it’s all up to you!
Cost: R65 per entrant
