The Louis57 Foundation’s Leolan Academy

In 2009, South Africa's pro golfer Louis Oosthuizen founded the LOUIS57 Foundation, inspired by the sponsorship he had received during his amateur years on the golf course. The foundation has gone from strength to strength over the years and supports four different needs within the community.

Foundation57 has four registered beneficiaries :

LOUIS57 Kids With Cancer: pediatric cancer patients
The Leolan Academy: school for kids with special needs, including those with Autism and Down syndrome
iPapa57: an early childhood development (ECD) feeding program
The LOUIS57 Junior Golf Academy: golf academy and golf development program

Louis and his wife Nel-Mare are passionate about supporting children with special needs and this year we are proud to have our Leolan Academy chosen as the beneficiary of the Algoa FM Cares Charity Golf Day Garden Route happening on 1^st June at Pinnacle Point Golf Club in Mossel Bay. We hope you book your spot!

The funds raised will go towards our non-profit school that supports children who have complex and special needs, including autism and Down syndrome. Leolan is committed to the development of each child’s abilities so that he or she may come to experience life to its full potential.

The objectives of Leolan Academy are to:

provide the highest quality educational and therapeutic programming available to children with disabilities
nurture and challenge each student on his or her own level
instill in each student a positive self-image and love for learning which will lead to lifelong learning and personal development
to support parents in their growing understanding of their children’s needs and abilities and in their quest for the best learning environment for their children.
