Smile Foundation - #helpthoseonthefrontline

Artists assist those in the medical field through a Smile Foundation and Tixsa initiative

Several South African artists are now offering their services to assist those in the medical field by supporting the Smile Foundation and Tixsa’s initiative.

Enjoy our #helpthoseonthefrontline CHARITY CONCERTS in the comfort of your own home with your family!

This recently launched campaign involves the purchase of essential supplies/ PPE for those in the medical industry - and anyone from businesses to individuals can contribute. Many medical workers are currently putting their lives on the line to combating COVID-19 and unfortunately, safety gear is in short supply.

The Smile Foundation would like to extend a huge thanks to Tixsa for partnering with us on this crucial campaign as well as many other campaigns to uplift the lives of South Africans.

The Tixsa facility is a highly reputable and highly recommended online facility that has evolved into being a platform used for the NGO world to support their needs” said Hedley Lewis, CEO of Smile Foundation.

While most South Africans can attempt to stay safe and healthy at their homes, thousands of medical workers are treating the infected. This is where Smile Foundation wants to make a change and take hands with the country to support each other. With the involvement of artists, their supporters can enjoy their shows from the comfort of their own homes while making a difference.

Why these concerts?

The Smile Foundation has heeded the call by President Ramaphosa and his government to step up and support the interventions that have been implemented across the country during this unprecedented period. We have put aside our brands and barriers to form coalitions magnifying our collective support, and like so many other sectors, COVID-19 has united civil society. However, the needs that Smile Foundation was addressing prior to COVID-19 have not disappeared – they continue to require attention and we have simply added COVID-19 support to our strategic focus as it is placing tremendous strain on SMILES resources.

We have been and are appealing to businesses as well as individual members of the public to assist the medical professionals working tirelessly on the frontlines to combat the spread of COVID-19 in South Africa, and together with TIXSA we have created this online streaming campaign:
