Ripples For Change

At Ripples for Change, we are dedicated to finding new strategies for dealing with challenges faced by rural communities in South Africa.

We strive to strengthen communities and offer new opportunities to individuals, through a variety of programmes:

Capacity building

Early Childhood Development programme

Supporting communities by linking them to existing resources and services.

To find out more about these projects you can go to our website ripplesforchange.org

You can also join our online community on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ripples4change/

COVID-19 Response :

To mitigate the effects of COVID19 and the lockdown, Ripples for Change, Childline and the Border Kei Chamber of Business have come together to offer food parcels to families from the following rural communities :

  • Chalumna
  • Ncera
  • Newlands
  • Needs Camp
  • Mooiplaas

We will manage the distribution through our existing network of Early Childhood Development centres. This is a network we have been working with and we trust.

There are 3 ways the public can help us:

  1. We appeal to food producers and manufacturers to donate dry food or offer us a reduced rate for their products. We wish to collect:

Maize meal

Bread Flour

Samp and Soup mixes

Coffee and Tea

Sugar

Rice, Pasta, Beans

Tins of food

You can contact Galit Cohen from Ripples for Change at 082-7570136 for collection points.

  1. Donate money to our bank account that was opened specially for the food parcels distribution. Any amount will make a huge difference and will be directed to buy food. The account will be managed by our accountancy firm for full transparency and for the donors’ peace of mind. You will find banking details on our website.
  2. Volunteers to help us pack the food parcels
