In just one day, the Reach For A Dream Foundation makes dreams come true for six children with life-threatening illnesses. In one year, the Foundation touches the lives of over 30 000 children. But the COVID-19 lockdown temporarily grounded this “fairy godmother” to operate as normal. Lockdown also impacted the Foundation’s biggest fundraising campaign, Slipper Day, which was due to take place on 8 May 2020. It caused a devastating setback in our funding.
BUT WE ARE BACK - our most celebrated fundraiser is scheduled to take place on Friday, 7th of May 2021!
Not All Heroes Wear Capes is the running theme of the campaign and is a fitting reminder that our brave children and all our doctors, nurses, and their families are the true heroes of this time. This Slipper Day promises to echo the hearts of all these heroes and why all of us need to come together to believe in the magic of a dream come true.
Slipper Day supporters, volunteers, and friends are encouraged to gear up and get ready by purchasing a supporter sticker for only R20. For every sticker purchased, you can enjoy a Free Famous Wimpy Coffee on Slipper Day, 7 May.
