Algoa Cares May 25th: MS South Africa

Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable , often disabling disease of the central nervous system which interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and the body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted , but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.

MSSA establishes contact between all people who live with MS in SA and beyond.

? Main focus on advocacy and awareness with fundraising a never ending ongoing process.

? A big challenge is to reach every single person in SA who is positively diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

? Social Media has made it a lot easier to get the word out there and in the process many pwMS contact us and ask to join, which is fantastic.

? In joining MSSA you become a part of the MS community in SA and make the numbers significant in order to grow a stronger voice in advocacy and awareness.

? As a member you will most certainly be kept up to date with the latest news views and treatments available in the world.

? MSSA is the only voice for people affected by multiple sclerosis in South Africa.

? Membership fee is R100 per annum.

? Other means of acquiring funds are individual fundraising and corporate support.

? All donations and sponsorships received are greatly appreciated and much needed in the quest to render services to people living with multiple sclerosis in the whole of SA.
