Mossel Bay Association of and for Persons with Disabilities

Mossel Bay APD is a registered non-profit organisation that provides therapeutic, social, and community development services to all persons with disabilities in the greater Mossel Bay Municipality area.

Together we can create a more inclusive and accessible community for everyone.

What We Do:

Mossel Bay APD focuses on five strategic areas:

Our Vision:

To create an inclusive society where persons with disabilities are equal and active

citizens.

Our mission:

Working together with disabled individuals and their families, we aim to facilitate social development and upliftment services, allowing them to take the lead in removing barriers and achieving independence.

Awareness Programs:

We run programs to increase awareness, influence government policies, promote physical and social access, and facilitate economic participation for and with persons with disabilities.

Accessibility Initiatives:

We assist businesses and tourist places in making their locations more accessible for people with special needs.

Social Services and Support

Our dedicated team, which includes a Social Worker, Social Aux Worker, and Community Developer, is available to support individuals and their families. We provide inclusive and accessible services throughout Mossel Bay.

Join Us in Understanding

Business leaders can experience life from a different perspective by spending a few hours in someone else’s shoes. Our unique event, preceded by a wheelchair basics session, brings home the daily challenges of wheelchair users.
