Mandela Day 2020

This year Mandela Day asks us to "take action and inspire change."

To "take action and inspire change" Algoa FM has partnered with the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium operated by the Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) to take action and inspire change in the Mandela Bay area.

Algoa FM also partnered with the Border Kei Chamber of Business and with the George Municipality, to take action and inspire change in the Border Kei and the Garden Route area.

If you would like to assist us to take action and inspire change this Mandela Day, find out what we're doing in your area below.

Port Elizabeth

Algoa FM has partnered with the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium operated by the MBDA to provide blankets for those in need in the Port Elizabeth area.

You can assist the NMB Stadium to provide blankets by making a cash donation.

Your donation will assist the NMB Stadium's isolation facility and blankets will also be donated to areas in need like the Walmer Township; the Northern areas; Zwide; New Brighton and Govan Mbeki.

If you would like to contribute to the blanket drive by making a cash donation, you can make an EFT to the Algoa Cares Bank account.

You can also drop-off blankets at Overall Events at 246 Main Road, Walmer from Monday to Wednesday, 15 July from 11am to 2pm.
