• Focusses on rural and underprivileged schools 

• Employs 10 local Plett residents (7 black, 1 colored and 2 white) 

• Performed over 500 shows to more than 100 000 audience members 

Taking an alternative angle on education by using the performing arts to inspire, educate and entertain. We capture the children’s attention through the arts and educate them about important environmental and social issues while developing valuable life skills. 

Project 1:

• Lunchbox Theatre has 8 shows focusing on environmental and social awareness amongst the youth. Our shows are engaging, interactive, entertaining, and educational. 

• We perform at the schools and target senior primary and high school learners. 

• Our shows are curriculum relevant. 

Project 2:

• After School Activities Program. 

• Weekly dance and drama classes are held for over 150 primary school learners 

• This program has been running for 6 years in the underprivileged schools of Plettenberg Bay 

• Important life skills are learnt through these workshops. 

• Employment for 5 local Plett based facilitators 

Project 3:

• Weekly skills development programs for actors and facilitators to enhance their skills and increase job creation opportunities. 

• Local and national instructors. 

• Management and Administrative skills training for Lunchbox staff who are mostly drawn from historically disadvantaged communities.
