KICK - IN THEIR SHOES

 

KICK and Algoa Cares invite you to join us in supporting a great project called In Their Shoes. 

 

Algoa FM’s KayCee Rossouw has embraced an initiative that challenges him to step out of his daily routine and into the lives of people living in Walmer Township for five days and nights from 13-18 March 2016. The project called ‘In Their Shoes’ aims to develop a culture of empathy, to increase awareness and highlight the obstacles facing people living in previously marginalised areas.

 

KICK’s focus for 2016 is to create awareness of basic human rights and raise funds to equip Heatherbank Primary with a grade-4 class for 2017. 

 

The school offers private school opportunities to children from Walmer Township. Heatherbank currently only has classes from age three to grade-3. Without the new class the current grade-3 class will have nowhere to go in 2017.  All of the learners come from Walmer Township where schools in the area are either full or overcrowded.

 

We applaud the work that has been done at Heatherbank Primary and hope you will join us in rallying behind them.

This is how you can help the kiddies from Heatherbank Primary.

1. Sponsor a Friend

Each member that will live in Walmer Township for the week is expected to find 20 people to sponsor at R100 per night.

2. SMS Donation

3. Become a Key Sponsor

By contributing R5000 plus, your company will receive the following value:

• All KICK’s marketing material
• KICK team clothing
• Company will be mentioned on-air and KICK social media
• Company will be interviewed on Algoa FM between 09h00-12h00 between 14-18 March
