Hope School East London

OUR VISION

Constrained by the love of Jesus, we want to see the brightest possible future for children who are infected, affected, or orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

OUR MISSION

To achieve our vision by providing excellent education and holistic care for our children throughout their schooling years.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT:

TRANSPORTATION

Our children are fetched from and dropped off at their homes daily by our buses to ensure they get to and from school safely.

NUTRITION

Each school day our children receive a cooked breakfast, cooked lunch, & two snacks to ensure they receive the nutrition needed to stay healthy.

EDUCATION

We provide quality education to classes of ~ 20 children by employing trained, compassionate, and committed teachers and support staff.

LOVE

We provide emotional and spiritual care for every child throughout the school day and in activities beyond the classroom.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Our College learners have the opportunity to work in the newly renovated Skills Development Centre as part of their co-curricular programme and learn skills that could one day enable them to generate their own income.

As you can well imagine being an NPO in this current economic climate is rather interesting.  All of our fundraising events have had to take on a different format and it is rather challenging.  We are short of funds to just finish off this year and be in a position to start 2021 well prepared for the learners who are returning to school on 27 January.  There are many expenses that we need to cover to be able to start the new year.

Our Projects :

Building Projects:

We are desperately wanting to complete the Preparatory School campus and get cracking on the College classrooms. With the help of the professional team that is helping us, we have full plans drawn up and space is not a problem. We are looking for people who can partner with us to help fund or part-fund the remaining classrooms.

Sponsorship programme:

When you sponsor a child at Hope Schools you are giving an HIV infected/affected child a first-class Christ-centred education. You are providing food, transportation, and an education to some of the most disadvantaged kids in the world all in the name of Jesus.

There are two types of sponsorships, a full child sponsorship which is R1 360 per month and a half sponsorship which is R680 per month. In return, we will communicate with you about the child you sponsor, give you updates on their progress quarterly newsletters and regular photos. You are also free to visit your sponsored child at any time! – (Covid19 restrictions do apply)
