Top 3 projects
Project 1:
Have a damp problem at our office that needs repair, and this impacts on the health of our staff. We have had contractors in more than once of the years but the problem has not been resolved as yet. It is getting worse and we are in desperate need of professional assistance, but as a charity have no funds.
Project 2:
Travelling toy library
We support 40 home based/informal creches in the poorer communities by teaching the carers how to use the educational toys that we supply each month. BUDDY bus visits the community each week to give the children a hot meal, and do homework and games with them, while social workers assess children in need.
Project 3:
Sabine's Haven is a temporary place of safety for children who have been removed from their families. We work to rehabilitate the family unit and if this is not possible we then try to find foster care for these vulnerable children. The safe house cares for a maximum of 12 children from birth to 12 years. The needs are constant, and we have to find funding every year to keep it going.
List of Needs:
Educational toys for our travelling toy library. Toiletries, nappies, formula etc for our safe house and temporary foster care homes. Buddy bus gives a cooked meal to the children who attend sessions each week so food is always welcome.
Funding for the continuous upkeep and running of our safe-house.
