Furever Fixed

Forever Fixed, also known as Furever Homes, is striving to assist with as many animal sterilizations as possible in the East London area.

Sadly, dog and cat populations are out of control in most provinces within South Africa, and the only way we can help to stem the tide is to sterilize as many dogs and cats as possible. This of course comes at a cost!

When it comes to cats, we run a TNR program that sterilizes stray colonies and then returns them to their feral habitats. We also assist low-income households with a welfare rate and assist with the humane removal of cats if TNR is not possible. We assist with the responsible rehoming of kittens, puppies, and adult dogs. We ensure they go to great homes, receive all their vaccinations, and are sterilized at the correct age.

We strive to end backyard breeding of cats and dogs. This is a huge issue in both impoverished areas, middle class, and even affluent areas

Our fostering program aims to assist welfares like the SPCA by putting animals in need of new homes into a home environment rather than a cage at a shelter. We get them used to a home environment and train them etc. Unfortunately, most people do not understand various breeds and do not get breeds suited for their lifestyle. We strive and pride ourselves on knowing our animals very well and matching them to a home suitable for them.

Our current projects include Education and Flyer drops. We are visiting schools and teaching them about sterilization as well as doing flyer drops in lower-income households.

Project 2. We are approaching various rental agencies etc to encourage them to work with us to set a clause that all people renting must have sterilized animals or they may not rent through them.

Our Needs: Financial to pay vet bills, newspapers, dewormers, flea treatments, cat litter, pilchards (for trapping), wet wipes, puppy and kitten toys, puppy treats, and old books for our book club.
