The Food for Life program has been serving the community of Port Elizabeth, with the help of members from the community in either their personal or professional capacities.
Operating since 2006, Food for Life relies solely on the generosity of its donors who contribute regularly towards feeding and assisting in community development, targeting poverty-stricken areas like Katanga, Helen-Vale, Gelvendale, Walmer, Booysens Park, Mission-Vale and Green Bushes.
Currently we are cooking and serving over 40kg of rice, 8 cabbages, 2 bags carrots and 2 bags potatoes, oil, spices and fruits which make up an entire balanced meal. Daily we prepare 500 plates of cooked vegetarian meals and distribute in the streets and selected safe locations around these areas.
