DO4SA

DO4SA is a Non Profit established in 2015 to shake off negativity from the mind-sets of many South Africans.

We strive to empower individuals through technology, the sciences, education and good social ethics.

We focus on impoverished communities (empowerment of young females is one of our key areas) to create hopes and dreams for all.

Our current projects include:

Make me a coder programme (with mentorship)

We have a sponsorship programme for learners to achieve a SETA Accredited NQF Level 5 Qualification in coding with placement on completion of course.

  • Stationery, Hygiene and COVID Packs. We do designated drop-offs of these items to various rural schools (stationery and hygiene) and COVID packs to families applying (staple foods and sanitiser and mask)
  • Vegetable Garden Startup and maintenance through education: We supply seedlings and have knowledgeable mentors who assist with set up and maintenance of self-sustainable vegetable gardens (rural houses)

A list of our needs :

We are very fortunate to have been donated laptops recently and now we have the capacity to triple our learnership, so companies/individuals/organization who can be part of our “adopt a student” programme to assist financially will be greatly appreciated. – I will elaborate on this programme.

With additional students, we would need air conditioners in 2 of the larger classrooms

We are also busy creating an outside “relax zone” from

scratch so a lot of maintenance work (scraping painting etc) with student benches would be our ultimate goal – considering the Apptrepreneurship course is 12 months long and long hours in a classroom.
