What is CHOC?
Childhood Cancer Foundation SA is a non-profit organisation that advocates for the health and well-being of children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer or life-threatening blood disorders and their families.
The passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers of CHOC aim to save lives through early detection and comprehensive support programmes for the families affected by cancer.
We offer, psychosocial, emotional and practical support as we augment the different medical fraternities.
We have 1736 Children in our care
CHOC offers basic necessities such as Care Bags, nutritional support (food parcels) and bereavement support to the children and their families.
32 448 bed nights to 2514 individuals
CHOC accommodation facilities offer a home away from home for children and their parents/caregivers during treatment and follow-up visits.
1435 families receive psychosocial support
The psychosocial team bring much-needed support to children, parents and family members, as well as support to the medical and nursing staff.
