Assisi Humansdorp on Algoa Cares

Algoa Cares September 28th :  Assisi SPCA : Incorporating Humansdorp, Jeffrey?s Bay, St Francis Bay and Districts.

This NPO has as its sole aim the alleviation of animal cruelty and the suffering of abandoned and abused animals.  They confront cruelty on a daily basis and they are always trying to educate and create awareness around the fact that animals are sentient creatures. They  assist the impoverished in taking care of their pets/animals. Their beneficiaries are all the residents of the townships within the Kouga Municipality.

Should you wish to assist by way of volunteering your services , give a cash donation or by way of goods/expertise, you will find a list of their needs below.

We need animal lovers with a business background, time on their hands and a desire to help keep the doors of our SPCA open for abused, neglected and unwanted animals. Perhaps your talents lie in raising funds. Or managing staff or finances. Or promoting our charity. Or walking and grooming cats and dogs?

If you love animals, please become a volunteer and help at our SPCA shelter in Humansdorp. We need adults and children over 12 to regularlyvisit our shelter to exercise and stimulate our dogs and cats. They need grooming but most of all, they need affection and human contactto make a difference in the lives of these animals.

We need a Facebook Fundi to manage our SPCAFacebook page, advertise animals for adoptionand inform the general public about what we do.

They are also trying to raise funds for a mobile animal clinic to use on their Township Outreaches.

Other daily ongoing needs include :

Dog and cat food always

Items to sell in their charity shops

Dog collars and leads

Cleaning materials

Bedding

Corporates can sponsor a kennel for R600 a year

An additional vehicle

Kitty litter

Toys for dogs and scratching posts for cats

Any form of financial assistance
