At African Dawn Wildlife Sanctuary, we save and treat all injured/orphaned birds & wildlife where possible and offer a safe haven for those who cannot be rehabilitated/rehomed and/or released into the wild again.
We are situated in the heart of a valley only a stone's throw away from the PE and Jeffrey's Bay. Our sanctuary is set within beautiful grounds nestled between rolling hills, close to the ocean and is a relaxing place to spend a lazy day. However, the COVID 19 pandemic has brought with it tremendous challenges. We currently find ourselves in an unfortunate situation that all our funding/income has come to an end due to the pandemic and we face possible closure which would affect approximately 5000 birds and numerous wildlife.
We are appealing to the public and any businesses who can assist us with our current needs as detailed below. We can arrange for the picking up of any donations.
Bird Seed, Sunflower Seeds, Mielies Seeds(Corn) , Lucerne, Cat pellets (IDEAL), All Fruits, Newspaper and ANY donations to assist with daily operations of the sanctuary

Cash Donations can also be made directly to Nutripet that run a donations account for us to draw the specialized and general foods we require. Find Nutripet at 69 Newton Street, Newton Park which is also one of our collection points or visit us as you deliver directly to African Dawn. We are also prepared to travel to collect any/all donations.
We would like to make a special mention of all the kind assistance we are receiving from Gareth and his staff at Nutripet.
